Frequently Asked Questions About the SAT

Is the SAT an intelligence test?

The SAT is not exactly an IQ test; it's very different from the IQ tests that clinical psychologists give. However, it is a sort of "academic IQ" test in that it measures verbal and math reasoning skills that have been developed over years of education.
