We subdivide the rankings by field, and within
each field we list top-tier and second-tier schools alphabetically. A more
fine-grained ranking than this (e.g. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...) is
not meaningful, since rankings really can't
be that precise. They have a strong subjective component.
